The RSUC educational programs acknowledge dynamic relationships between the personal, cultural,environmental and spiritual. We regard ourselves as responsible for a world in need of change, and believe that the education of tomorrow must take an active part in developing ethically oriented knowledge, skills and lifeconditions. As such, RSUC programs are for educational ‘activists’ who want to be more effective in working with transformation within all pedagogical situations, seeking to influence our shared future.
Waldorf education builds on and is informed by Rudolf Steiner’s educational ideas, as well as ideas, practicesand research from the wide field of education in general. The RSUC recognizes this broad context and aims tocontribute to a dialogue between Waldorf education and the wide spectre of contemporary educational ideasand practices.
Waldorf education is international, and students on our Master programme usually come from several countriesand/or continents. This creates an atmosphere of shared academic enthusiasm, friendship, and a sense ofglobal togetherness. All instruction and discussion is held in English, while written assignments and the masterthesis may be submitted in Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, German or English.
Graduates from RSUC have various work opportunities. There are 31 Waldorf Schools, 46 Waldorf Kindergartensand 10 Anthroposophical social and therapeutic institutions in Norway, in addition to over 2000 institutionsworldwide.
RSUC graduates work in kindergartens, schools, colleges and universities, settings for social and therapeuticeducation, NGOs and independent organizations.
